Sweet memories and more!
Hopefully everyone will be enjoying some warmer weather now that spring is
officially here.
We've been busy adding many new products, as well as putting many items on sale
for some great spring savings.
We've also added a new promotional program that we will be running for the next
few months. It's "Star Savings" & will be held one week out of every month. If
the star is found in our store, then customers will receive 15% off of their
entire order.
We will be adding many more products over the next few months geared toward

It may surprise you to learn that the people of Ireland drink more tea per
capita than any other population on Earth. In fact your average Irish citizen
drinks about 6 cups per day. The cups they drink are so strong that you could
almost stand a spoon upright in them. Indeed, the Irish prefer what some might
call a sturdy cup of tea.
So for the month of March, in honor of St. Patrick's Day, we are offering 25%

The Assam component of this Irish blend gives the cup a strong, deep malty

Choose your beverage!
It's summer time, and I don't know about you, but I still reach for my coffee. I do drink tea as well, and it's a better alternative to caffeinated bevarges or any sugary drinks. Take a look at the facts: drinks per caffeine content. Caffeine Per 6-oz. cup in Milligrams Espresso (2 oz) 60-90 mg Drip coffee 60-180 mg Black tea 25-110 mg Oolong tea 12-55 mg Green tea 8-16 mg Herbal tea 0 mg.
Let's talk more benefits of tea. Tea Boosts Insulin Activity Studies carried out at the USDA Beltsville Human Nutritional Research Centre in Maryland tested various tea extracts on fat cells taken from rats to see if they had a favorable effect on insulin. The fat cells were grown in a lab and fed tea extracts, insulin and radioactive sugar. The chemical epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) most enhanced insulin. When green tea is oxidized into oolong and black tea, EGCG forms polyphenols, which are strong antioxidants. Black, green and oolong teas improved insulin activity the most. Adding milk diminished the teas positive effect on the insulin. The increase that occurs could shed some light on why tea is said to help avoid heart disease and high blood pressure. Medindia.net says the study found that insulin activity increased more than 15 times. Details of the study are featured in the book "The Sugar Solution" by Sari Harrar, Julia Vantine, and Prevention magazine editors. Teazine Issue # 29th - October 2006
