It can change in seconds, which is why I don't understand we as moms and dads have to play the blame game. A bump on a childs head, abuse. Bruises on a childs body, abuse. We as parents judge far too quickly, unfairly and unjustly. We cast stones when we shouldn't. So now authorities want to investigate the parents whose child fell into Harambes' enclosure. First, some facts of a real problem in our nation. A report for child abuse is called in every 10 seconds. 3.6 MILLION reports are made to child protective services a year. If you add multiple children, that amount equals 6.6 million children a year. These statistics come from childhelp.org the link is here. Here it is: my opinion. I've clogged up facebook and twitter enough. I think we should stop judging the parents. The dad wasn't even there, and there are facebook posts blaming him for something he couldn't prevent in the first place. Parents of children know that things can happen in an instant, seconds! They like to explore, play games, some toddlers even think taking off and hiding is a game for the mom or dad. They don't know. Things happen, end of story! Should the enclosure allowed for a 3-4 yr old to slip through, no. Is it the zoo keepers fault or the mom. No, the mom was at the zoo, she was nearby, not getting a latte. My opinion, if this were YOUR kid, (meaning the reader) you would think differently, and want to be judged less harshly. We are imperfect human things, and things happen to our kids. No matter how much we try to prevent them. So, should the enclosure have been made better? Obviously, the child got through it. Science, research, technology will always be there. We did not LOOSE the research, rather we gained a lesson we can all learn from, and begin new research. We can research how we can anticipate accidents like this from happening, and make it a much more safer world for animal and child. We can educate more, learn more, enjoy more. I know I had more to say, but for right now, this is enough. We really do need to stop throwing stones at each other.

MY how time flies

Yes, my how time flies! My girls are 17, and 14. Abby and Becky respectively, and I never blinked and now they are teens! I miss the babies of course, but I am too old now to have babies, and can wait another ten yrs for grand babies.

Becky will graduate 8th grade next week, and it gets me dizzy just thinking about their futures. And it's true, the worrying never ends, especially with girls. I am not sure how much moms of boys worry, but in today's world, I worry about my girls among many other things.

So this weekend, we are going to have a teen party before the summer revs up. The teen party will include lots of springtime/summertime cleaning. If I can get Becky to do any. When they were little, (and this is one of my favorite stories) Becky would insist that Abby was the bigger slob. Soon after, the girls got their own rooms. Needless to say, Abby wasn't the biggest slob. Even to this day, Abby is not the bigger slob. Becky is still young, so I have time to instill the virtues of a cleaner room.

Last night, Becky had her 8th grade dance, and told us of a boy she liked. Well, this was the first I had heard of it. And of course, all the girls were wearing dresses, except for BECKY! I was at work, and Abby had tried to get my 14 yr old to wear a dress, but alas, had failed. Becky felt that wearing a bracelet and having a purse was good enough for her. UGH! Well there is Thursday, I do have that. I think I scheduled dental appointments that I will have to rearrange yet again. No fun there.

Right now all is well in the house at 4:30 am with Chucks' cpap mask squeaking. Chuck is the girls confidante and hears all things they are afraid to tell mom. Which of course is all things that evade grounding and any kind of punishment, and of course boys it seems. Well, the summer is long, and next year I will have two high schoo

lers. We shall see how that fares out.

and I am busy reading a book to review, so stay tuned for that. my plans are to get busy with my blog, so I may post some delicious recipes that I have tried. My next entry will be that. Until next time~~~

I loved this mystery! In fact it made me want to drink some wine, eat cheese and chocolate as I turned each page. I could almost smell the delicious truffles Sadie ate as the author described them. The Tremiato family has dynamics as we all do in our families, without the murder mystery. See who is the guilty one as you turn page by page. This author had vivid descriptions in Sadies' weekend off of the bed and breakfast that could fill the readers imagination. I could imagine my self enthralled in a game of rummy or sipping wine, as the reader should. Find out if her chocolatier friend Matteo is the criminal or a victim of jealous family members.
