Life as I know it.
I must admit, I am not a cat person. When I was younger, I was terribly reactive to cats with my asthma. I'd come home from my sisters house in full blown status asthmaticus. Of course we had 2 dogs that shed terribly as well, so it was hard to ascertain what I was reacting too. These days not so much, I have a dog and cat. My asthma acts up from colds and weather as opposed to the pets. Of course they do have their days.
This cat is especially needy though. She doesn't like to be alone, and loves looking out the window. She's a beautiful calico.
My daughter Abby has several different scratches from head to toe, as she is sometimes too rough.
Right now I have 3 teens awake from a sleep over. They slept in, at least 2 of them until noon. My youngest, Becca, starts back to school tomorrow. She isn't too thrilled. It is snowing on this January 4th 2015, and my weather guy, Chuck Harris says we are supposed to get 11 inches. I hope not.
Life as we know it. The girls just finished eating their breakfast, and Abby is dying to spend her Michaels gift card. I don't wanna go outside! But my Abby is a shopaholic, and that gift card is burning a hole in her pocket.
I have tons to do, folding laundry, calling patients, reading, cleaning. My favorite thing ...sleep!
The girls have had a pretty busy holiday season, and soon life will be back to normal, or to some kind of normalcy. And it seems, no matter how much I sweep floors, swiffer and mop, I always have to do it again. Cleaning is never done at my house. Not complaining....just telling the truth. I never know how all this garbage ends up in my house and on my floors.
I am curious. Does anyone tell their teen to do stuff 3, 4, and 5 times before they end up doing stuff? Sometimes I feel like I am talking to a brick wall. And the snow keeps falling falling falling. It was fun seeing them put makeup on each other. As a mom, I have to admit, the long awaited makeup addiction has finally arrived. I ordered some makeup for me too. tee hee!
Keep warm my friends, and until next time

Happy New Year!
We made it! It's 2015, and I'm all alone in my house today. It has been a whirlwind week full of holiday festivities, rounding out with New Years eve! I am reticent about this new year, and I'm not sure what to expect. One thing I do know is that it is getting cold fast.
I really enjoyed my time with my niece last night as she shared with us her couponing tips, and I was encouraged to use my 20 dollars in kohls cash. I laugh because usually I let that stuff go by the wayside, but with my relatives I was highly encouraged to use it. So I shall. It's interesting how people manage to save money, and I admit I am not as good as most. I think you need to have a lot of time to coupon, stake and double coupon to stay on top of things. I sure wish I could get a purse for 5 bucks!!!
We were supposed to go to Mississippi for the new year holiday, but that got cancelled, and so we stayed in Illinois. I will try to link up the video to the start of 2015 with all the kids whooping and hollering. It was alot of fun.
I am job hunting once again, and will have a job interview this coming Tuesday, so I look forward to that. For reasons I can not explain on the internet, I must find another job....eventually.
So when we did not go to Mississippi, my girls and I got mani/pedis. Abby and I got french manicures. It looks so cute on Abby.
I am alone in my house with my pets, who are running around acting rambunctious. ah such is life.
With this cold and changing weather, I have been battling a bad upper respiratory cold. I really thought I'd have to go to the hospital, but it is slowly resolving. Very slowly. My hope for the new year is that the pharmaceutical companies see that their prices lower. I can not tell you how many people have told me they can not afford their insurance or prescriptions. For our nation, this is very sad. We help out every country in the world, yet our own are not getting the help they need. I totally understand, for my husband and I, it is thousands of dollars to get labs done. At least that is what is charged to our insurance. Ridiculous.
The new year will bring 2 to 3 new book reviews right off the bat. I enjoy reading, and I love the communities of readers, bloggers and authors I have found on the internet. It is so much fun interacting with everyone.
In closing for now, I wish you all a bright and prosperous, healthy new year!
Until next time

Holiday Bliss is book 2 in the Bliss series-- It comprises three romantic novellas by three different authors--set in different era's, in one home on the water called, Bliss.
Tending Her Heart by Kathleen Shoop
Julie Peters' plans to modernize Waterside Hospital's labor and delivery protocols are thwarted by old school doctors and brown-nosing colleagues. But a handsome doctor who understands her point-of-view has a fine bedside manner and a way of Tending Her Heart that has forever-after attached to it. Can a Thanksgiving stay in the regal home called Bliss give her the space she needs to right her future and fall in love?
The Christmas Miracle by Marcy Waldenville
Brenan Brown has a terrible secret. One his beautiful wife doesn't know about. One that could destroy his happiness and his family. One he'd thought he buried along with his former identity in a grave in Ireland. But shady characters--terrorists really--from his past come to the stately mansion with blackmail and kidnapping on their minds. And with his family's after at risk, his future in peril, all Brenan can hope for is The Christmas Miracle.

"Each story is vivid in historical and modern details and will certainly have you wanting to visit Bliss yourself. The characters come to life, making you fall in love with each and every couple, rooting for them to make it. I highly recommend this wonderful novel by five talented authors."

Marcy Waldenville knew she wanted to write at an early age. A firm believer in anything-is-possible, she is happy to be following that dream. Born and raised in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. She lives in Southern Butler County with her husband, Ken.
A misplaced mountain child, J.D. lives in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania with her husband of more than thiry years (and yes, she was a kindergarten bride). Their sons and one beautiful daughter-in-law live nearby. Ozzie, their neurotic dog lives a lot closer. And yes, she still roams wild and free, whatever mountains are currently in her path.
Cache a Predator is a geocaching thriller about a father’s love, justice, and the unhinged game of hide-the-cache.
Officer Brett Reed will do anything to gain custody of his five-year-old daughter, Quinn. But when a judge grants Brett's drug-addicted ex-wife custody and slaps him with a protective order for losing his temper, he fears for Quinn's safety. Who will protect her now?
When Quinn is found abandoned on the streets, she's placed in a temporary foster home until Child Protective Services can complete an assessment. It should only take a few days.
But a lot can happen in a few days.
Especially when there's a deranged psychopath on the loose, someone who's attacking pedophiles, someone who wants to protect children like Quinn, and someone who's planting body parts in geocaching sites.
This book is hidden in cache sites all over the US and Canada with the goal for it to travel to all 50 states. It’s mission is to spread awareness of child abuse and how it harms victims, families, and communities.
My Review:
Boy since I started doing book reviews, I've read one good book after another. Cache a Predator is no different. Just as it sounds, it has the adventurous hobby of geocaching mixed in with a thriller type story line. This book actually has two story lines in it. One of child neglect, which is a reality in our society today. The other is of a mystery who seems to have an unusual way of revenge mixed in with geocaching. This story does remind me of the Lorena Bobbit story long ago. If you remember that whole story line, you'll get the other story line of the book, but with a twist. I couldn't stop reading, but I will think about going geocaching. Oh, and it has a little bit of a love story in this too. It is very dark, and deals with alot of real topics. Not for the faint of heart. Will Brett find happiness, and get Quinn? Will Sarah finally let a man into her life? Will Ali get the help she needs? Find out! Loved it, and I can't wait for a follow up.
Until Next time.

What a fun group of stories. Three stories in all, and all charming in their own way. The First story, starts out with Brennan, his wife and their son Colin. Of course, there is a secret looming for Brennan that he doesn't want his family to know about. As well as other secrets from other members in this enchanting story. Our second story tells of how our heroine nurse Julie has to deal with old school physicians. Yep, Julie they are still around. Fun and intriguing, these stories will keep you reading. In Holiday Wish, this book reminds me of my no dating rules when I was younger. You'll have to read this to see how this story turns out. If you like romance, you'll definitely like this book. The three authors did an excellent job, and put you in the holiday spirit. I am an old time romantic, and my favorite was with Brennan and his family. My friends you will have to get the book and pick your favorite short story for yourselves. Until next time. Read on my friends, Read on!

My bizzy life over the holidays!!
So This Holiday brings all kinds of fun for us! I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my immediate family, minus some family members. I made a dish that flopped, but Abbys chocolate pretzels were the bomb! We all had a great time. Then the next day, we had a get together with some of our friends for game night. If you saw my husband, you would have thought I didn't feed him. Chuck and I were famished, and the girls had a blast! It was a lot of fun, and I can't thank Jennifer and Tom enough. These two are kind enough to have a few get togethers in their home for our club will county women.
So then, my husband goes to the store because we didn't make our own turkey. He got a nice turkey, and with the assistance of our youngest, we will have a turkey dinner. I love turkey!! The left overs are amazing.. You can make turkey sandwiches, soup, turkey salad. I'm sure there are a plethora of other ideas which I can find on pinterest.
Last night, we went to my brothers again because my nephew came in from Louisiana with his girlfriend. Another great get together. Of course I had to get home and do housework, and good intentions of doing paper work. That never happened. (the paperwork) I was bushed, I had worked and then went to the get together. I still have housework, and need to get to the gym today. And I need to get the Christmas presents to the inlaws so the snoopy snoops don't look at everything they got. Yes, even at their age!
Until next time!!!
