Drama class and a busy summer

We weren't going to do it.  The girls weren't going to do drama class this year.  This year for the summer they are doing the musical SHREK.  I wasn't going to be able to take breaks from work, and Abby wasn't sure what she was going to do.  At the last minute Becca decided she wanted to go.  It's funny how our kids turn out.  Abby is the more serious one, Becca is the more athletic and artistic one.  Although Abby is quite creative in her own right.

This summer will be busy.  I am hoping to get a family membership to the YMCA for the summer so the girls can do other activities.  I need to try and find a pottery class for Becca.  Abby is going to do a Chinese class with her best friend.  Of course, I need to sign them up for swimming lessons. It's going to be go go go.

Well it's Monday, the beginning of a new week.  Until next time.

It has been a long time since I have blogged last.  I've read a few blogs this morning of moms with young kids.  My two daughters are 12 and 15.  Where does the time go?  I always tell my young mom friends not to blink, because they grow up so fast.  Often times, us moms of older kids wish we could get some of that time back.  Oh how I wish!!!!

Abby is my 15 year old.  Next year she will be a sophomore in school, and the fun will really begin.  And yes, if you can believe it, teens can be fun.  While moody, temperamental and just being female, Abby has plenty of issues.  She is a blessing, and we are so lucky to have her with us.  Abbys' start in the world, was no easy task.    She has blossomed into a beautiful young woman.
She will insist that she and her sister Becky don't get a long, but if you could only peer into my world, you would see how very untruthful she is about that.  I am hopeful that when I leave this world, Abby and Becky will definitely be able to rely on each other, if no one else.  That's all I ever wanted for my two girls.

Becky is the opposite of Abby in so many ways.  She is my twelve year old, my pre teen, my baby.  Calm as a cucumber, but still cuddles and needs mom.  She is more of an avid reader than Abby, but Abby is catching up to reading.  Both girls love life, love anything and everything.  Fearless are they (which I am not too fond of, being mom)  Becky will try any food once, even tongue...blech!  (she didn't get that from me.)  Both girls like to cook, as much as both hate to clean.  Both love the mall (me too) with Abby being the biggest shopaholic like her mom.

Abby is my writer, and I am hopeful she will be a #1 seller of any of writings some time in the future!

Well, onto my motherly and wifely duties today.   Happy Fathers day to all you dads.  Enjoy your daughters!

https://www.jewelryincandles.com/store/candlesbycarole last day to sign up for free!  if joining isn't for you, why not grab some great deals!

Hello my friends

It's been a long time hasn't it?  So much to tell.  My Abigail is 15 now, and Rebecca will be 12 in March.  I have new pictures, but not sure how to work my new phone to get them on facebook and such.  Also I am very protective about my girls.

My Rebecca made honor roll this quarter in 6th grade, and we are so proud of her.  Abby had some trouble starting out in highschool, but she is doing better.  They both are in a Christmas play this year, and Chuck is making the costumes.  Again we are proud of them.  Both girls are really becoming great young women, being beautiful inside and out.

As you can see above, I joined a new home business.  As of today, it is the last day to join free, but you can still grab some great deals for Christmas.  The last day to order for Christmas is December 1.  Until next time.

What to Blog about:

Hello my friends!  It has been a long time since I've blogged, and now my 11 yr old Becca is also blogging.  Please feel free to comment on any of the blogs.

So at one point in my life, I've had 6 part time jobs, I've quit all that craziness for now.  My patient load is less, for now, and I am able to breath and spend some time with the family.  Unfortunately, alot of that time is spent doing some housework, and some playing on the computer, and paperwork.  I need to divide myself into 3 it seems!!!   I am the big time dog walker.  There's no surprise, and still working on Sparky.

The girls:  Well, Abby will be 15 in October, and starting high school this year.  I'm not ready for it.  Becca will be starting JUNIOR HIGH.  Both girls are wonderful children, they are good, and I couldn't ask for better.  They have spent the majority of the summer in summer camp.  Even though Abby says she hated it, she always bolted out the car door, and cheerful.  Abby wakes up less grouchy any more, and the girls still confiscate my beauty stuff.  I just had to give Abby my recent lip gloss.  Yep, had the talk about sharing make up, and I'm sure I'll have it again.

We haven't done much free swimming, but the girls have been to the water parks.  Such fun for them.  Abby and Becca both have nice tans going, and I'm white as a sheet!  Chuck is just as pasty.

Well that's all for now.  Have a good weekend.

Until next time.

Olympics 2012 Summer

It is certainly going by fast, the summer that is.  I missed the opening ceremonies. but my hubby did record it for me.  I couldn't wait for Paul McCartney. The fact that there was 204 countries, some of them I hadn't heard of, was extremely fascinating to me.  I loved seeing the wardrobes all the countries wore as well.

I have to admit, he seems like age is catching up to him, he is 70 and showing it.  His voice sounded feeble as well.  But I love him.  Kind of hokey with the jumping out of the copter and the queen, but oh well.

I watched the mens water polo, and was fascinated.  I really haven't watched much, but am excited to see what unravels.

Well I am the biggest procrastinator and must get to my paperwork, until next time.

Hello and good morning blogging world!!!  Is anyone out there??  It has been an incredible summer.  I have had the girls in summer camp, and they love the activities.  Of course we missed all of our theater friends, but we will see them in the fall and winter.  My girls are actresses of course.

We don't have the money this year to go on a great big vacation, but we may do a weekend excursion before the girls go back to school, which will be on Aug 20th.  Last night I had them do some reading, because they have been like zombies in front of the television.  I do have them addicted to big brother...bad mom!

I started marketing for a new home health company and it is going very slow, as is my housework, but I plan to have this house ready and clean before Christmas!

I love my facebook friends.  I love my blogger readers, keep reading.  Until next time!

Surviving Summer Camp

Well we are almost a week into summer camp, and the girls are loving it. I wasn't sure if they'd take to it or not, since they had been in acting camp for so long. I asked them if they'd like to camp in the fall and they agreed, so all is not lost!! Chuck and I thought it would be a good change for the girls, and help round them out a little. Becca had been wanting to ice skate. Today, on this first Thursday of camp they will both take a trip to Haunted Trails, and are looking forward to it. I must say looking at the schedules for the two camps, the park district has the 8 weeks jam packed with fun activities. I even want to go to summer camp. I've also enlisted them into free bowling, which I would love for the girls to do with me as well. I would love to be on a mom and daughter team with them, if they can learn to stop throwing gutter balls. I am not all that consistent myself. I am hoping with this summer camp too, that the girls will make some new friends outside of the school arena. Both have had a hard time with bullies in the school, with the school doing little or nothing at all about the problem. I don't have the problems with Abby at home that the school seems to feel or think they have. All kids have their moments, and my heart child is no exception. It has been particularly hard on Abby these last 4 yrs or so dealing with her heart defect as well. Well, that is all for now. I do have so much more to tell you. Until next time. carole
